Celebrity cruise ship classes

Celebrity cruise ship classes run from newest to oldest: Edge, Solstice and Millennium. The Edge ships have the signature Magic Carpet, a moving platform on the side of the ship. The Solstice ships have a real lawn on the top deck. The Millennium ships are the smallest and oldest, and they were refurbished to bring in newer cabins and venues.

The next Edge-class ship, Celebrity Xcite, is due in 2028. Celebrity is also launching river cruises: the first sailings are due in August 2027, on the Rhine and Danube.

Celebrity cruises to Alaska

Celebrity Alaska cruises run from early May to late September. Most are round trips from Seattle or Vancouver, and there are one-way routes between Vancouver and Seward. For 2026 and 2027 the Alaska ships are Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Solstice and Celebrity Summit, with Edge on an extended four-month season in 2027. Where Celebrity sails by season

• April to October: Europe. Celebrity Mediterranean cruises run from Barcelona, Rome (Civitavecchia) and other ports, with Northern Europe and Greek Isles routes too.

• Winter and spring: the Caribbean, mostly from Fort Lauderdale and Miami. • Year-round: the Galapagos, on Celebrity Flora, which is based in the islands.

What’s included and what’s extra

Included in every fare: the main dining room, the buffet, shows, pools and daytime activities.

All Included fares: Celebrity’s All Included pricing bundles the cruise fare with a Classic Drink Package (including the drinks-package gratuities) and Basic Wi-Fi. Onboard crew gratuities are charged separately. Suites in The Retreat get the Premium drinks package and Premium Wi-Fi instead. Standard cruise-only fares without the bundle also exist, so compare like with like.

Always extra: crew gratuities, specialty restaurants, the spa, shore excursions, premium drinks beyond your package, and suite-level extras if you haven’t booked The Retreat.

Which is the best Celebrity cruise ship?

For most people, an Edge-class ship: Xcel, Ascent or Beyond. They have the most restaurants and the most modern cabins. The Solstice ships are the value pick.

Does Celebrity sail to Alaska?

Yes, every summer from early May to late September, with round trips from Seattle and Vancouver and one-way cruises between Vancouver and Seward. The 2026–2027 Alaska ships are Celebrity Edge, Solstice and Summit.

Does Celebrity do Galapagos cruises?

Yes, on one ship: the 100-guest Celebrity Flora, built for the islands. Its two older Galapagos ships, Celebrity Xpedition and Xploration, were sold in 2025. A seven-night cruise includes meals, drinks (select wines, spirits and soft drinks), Wi-Fi, gratuities for crew and naturalist guides, and the national park and tourist card fees. Packages of 10 nights or more add two hotel nights in Quito and the flight from Quito to Baltra. Flights to and from Ecuador are extra.
