Disney Adventure cruise ship: the Singapore Disney cruise explained
The Disney Adventure is Disney Cruise Line's largest ship and its only one in Asia: it sails three- and four-night cruises from Singapore, mostly with no port stops, so the ship is the whole trip. Book it if you're in or traveling to Southeast Asia with kids; it isn't a reason to fly from the US on its own.

The Disney Adventure took its maiden voyage from Singapore on March 10, 2026, as Disney Cruise Line’s eighth ship and its first in Asia. It began life as Global Dream, a Global-class ship that MV Werften started building in Germany for Genting Hong Kong’s Dream Cruises. Work stopped when Genting collapsed, and Disney bought the unfinished hull in 2022 and had it completed at Wismar under Meyer Werft’s management. It is about 1,120 feet long, and with every berth filled it carries about 6,700 guests, with about 2,300 crew. Disney signed an agreement with the Singapore Tourism Board to base the ship there for at least five years.
Who the Disney Adventure suits
Families in Southeast Asia. Disney says most early bookers were new to the line and many had never cruised. A three- or four-night sailing from Singapore is an easy first trip.
Thrill-seekers. No other Disney ship has a roller coaster.

Cabins to pick, cabins to avoid
We could not confirm cabin-level details for this ship from Disney’s deck plans, so the advice here is general:
- Pick midship rooms with staterooms above and below for the least noise and motion.
- Avoid rooms directly below the outdoor attractions, the coaster and the pool decks if you go to bed early or sleep late.
- Check the deck plan for what sits above and below any room you’re offered before you pay a deposit.
Dining and activities
The Adventure has six rotational restaurants: Hollywood Spotlight Club, Navigator’s Club, Animator’s Palate, Animator’s Table, Enchanted Summer Restaurant and Pixar Market Restaurant. Two premium restaurants, Mike and Sulley’s Flavors of Asia and Palo Trattoria, carry a surcharge. Kids’ clubs, shows and character meet-and-greets are included, as on every Disney Cruise Line ship. Gratuities follow the same per-night recommendation as the rest of the fleet, with an 18% gratuity on bar and premium-dining charges, and onboard purchases are billed in US dollars even though the ship is sold mainly in Asian markets.

- Year-round from Singapore: three- and four-night cruises, most spent entirely at sea. The ship sails from Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore.
- From December 31, 2026: select sailings add a call at Langkawi, Malaysia. Langkawi is also in the September to December 2027 schedule of three- and four-night trips.

Sister ships
The Adventure has no sister in service. It was planned as the first of two Global-class ships for Dream Cruises; the second, less complete hull was sold for scrap.
